MEET the six-pack mum who swapped her daily wine habit for weights to achieve her dream bod.
Vikki Cronin, 45, from Cork spent years hiding her figure in oversized clothes, but now after a complete body transformation she is more than happy to strip off.
And the mum of two wants to help others feel comfortable in their own skin.
The bookkeeper and online coach said: “I have always battled with my weight, from a very young age. I always had a fine appetite.
“I love food and I used to not have a stop button.
“As a child I would have been very overweight. I had to get my confirmation outfit made and my communion dress had to be altered.
“Even as teenager I couldn’t dress like my friends. It was hard growing up.”
Vikki’s weight yo-yoed over the years.
She explained: “I got to school and started to walk a bit more, the weight came off. I met my husband at 18 and the weight came back on because I started to eat with him and drink with him.
“I lost it again for my wedding. Got married, then got pregnant and put it all back on again.
“It was very much up and down. I did Weight Watchers, low carb, the juices, the egg diet — every fad diet known to man.”
She continued: “I had a massive sweet tooth. Takeaways would have been a big downfall of mine.
“And wine would have been a massive one. The mummy reward system — I had a tough day with the kids so I deserve a glass of wine.
“I’d drink seven times a week. It was a massive part of my life. There is the calories in the wine, and the munchies that leads to.”
The turning point came when Vikki realised she was sick of putting her body through the mill in an attempt to stay thin.
She said: “In 2015 I said, ‘That’s it. Enough.’ I was fed up of constantly dieting, restricting myself and then bingeing at the weekend.
“I booked a personal trainer in January 2015 and that was it. I found Flexible Dieting.
“There are no bad foods. It’s calorie tracking. You track your calories, track your macro nutrients. You eat a certain amount of carbohydrates per day, protein and fats all within your calorie range for maintenance or weight loss.”
Now the stunning mum has a body to die for and loves being able to look fab in the latest fashions.
She said: “I was never happy with my body. Clothes were always an issue. Everything had to be long — it had to hide the belly, it had to hide the hips.
“The best thing about it now is the boost in my confidence. It is great to be able to walk into a clothes shop.”
As well as looking great on the outside, Vikki has never felt better.
She said: “It has improved my health. I can honestly say in the past four years I have been sick four times. I don’t get colds anymore.
“I literally feel the benefits from head to toe. No money can buy being fit and healthy.”
And Vikki reckons if she can do it, so can anyone.
She said: “With flexible dieting, if you want chocolate you can have it, you just work it around the rest of your food.

“It would be 80 per cent nutritious food and 20 per cent a little bit of treats. Everyone needs something to look forward to at the end of the day.
“It’s moving away from the chicken and broccoli diet. You can still get results — and I’m walking talking proof of that.”
