REGARDLESS of whether you wax everything down there or take a more natural approach, what you do with your body hair is a completely personal decision.
However, one bloke has sparked fierce debate online after he asked his partner to cover up her unshaven bikini line out of fear they’d get denied entry to a snooty private pool club.
Sharing his side of the story on Reddit’s “Am I The A*****” forum, the anonymous American bloke insists that he’s “never had a problem” with his girlfriend’s body hair and “respects her choice” not to shave.
However, the couple – who have been on holiday in Las Vegas – are planning on going to a “pretentious” private pool club which is “notorious for only letting in ‘attractive’ people”.
He wrote: “Women go there in bikinis with high heel and a full face of make-up, for example.”
As they were getting ready to leave, the man noticed that his girlfriend’s unshaven bikini line was visible from the swimsuit she was wearing – after all, the “full bush” has been making a comeback of late.
Although the “hair isn’t super thick or long”, the man claims he “nicely pointed out to her that her hair was kind of obvious and suggested that she wear one of her swimsuits that has shorts instead.”
Unsurprisingly, the woman then refused to change and “pointed out that [he’s] not going to wear long pants even though [he] has very hairy legs.

“I think that I’m being normal and that it’s weird for people to have their pubes showing in public.”
“I pointed out that I’m not asking her to hide body hair in any unreasonable places,” he wrote. “I said the equivalent would be me wearing a speedo where my pubes poke out the sides.
“I said in that situation she would also be fair to ask me to wear board shorts instead.”
This place has a dress code and they don’t care WHY you don’t shave. They only care about the fact that you don’t…
Determined to prove one another wrong, the couple then turned to Reddit to settle the argument and asked the Reddit thread’s 1.2m followers for their opinions.
Although a number of users agreed that the man was the one in the right, several took issue with him insisting that he had the “normal” opinion.
“Who decided to go to this club? It sounds much more gross than your girlfriend’s body hair,” one wrote. “If it’s your decision to do there, I suspect your girlfriend’s lack of giving a f*** about how she looks in reference to their standards may be directly correlated to how little of a f*** she gives about actually going there.”
Admitting that they might be denied entry, another added: “I don’t think you can police her body like that.”
A third replied: “She’s well in her right to let her hair grow naturally while I’m well in my right to walk around my house naked. There’s nothing illegal about showing pubes.
“Also, he shouldn’t be telling her how or what to wear, but it’s something that she should consider as perhaps inappropriate.”
However, others took the man’s side and argued that it would be “gross to show pubes in public”.
“I don’t want to see ANYONE’S pubes at a pool – hot girl, old woman, teenage boy, old man,” one outraged user argued.
“This isn’t a gender thing,” another added. “No one’s pubes should be on display. I personally don’t like anyone’s armpit hair showing…”
Seeing the situation from both sides, one wellwisher replied: “Girl, I feel you.
“I hate shaving too and 99% of the time, I don’t. But you might not be let in the pool.
